Hi, my name is Jasmin — I’m the owner, designer, printer, packer and shipper behind Barne. Although I often say “we,” behind the scenes it’s really just me, myself and I. Every now and then I rope in my partner and our one-year-old son for modelling help, and our little one is also our in-house product tester, helping me with all things R&D.

Barne officially launched in late August 2025, after months of playing with the idea of creating a unique casual-wear brand designed just for kids. I felt there was a gap in the market — something for parents who don’t want only dinosaurs, teddies or Disney princesses, but also don’t want to stick strictly to neutrals out of fear of colour.

I wanted to offer a range inspired by the high-street and designer menswear labels I love, but designed specifically with children in mind. Think Carhartt, Gramicci, Patta and CP Company, just to name a few. At the same time, I’m conscious of cost. As any parent knows, kids grow fast — and investing in premium pieces isn’t always practical, no matter how nice they are. That’s why our oversized fits allow room for growth, and why our heavyweight tees focus on durability, comfort and great value.
